Backing the next generation of founders

Rajen Sheth represented the Sheth Education Foundation at the TiE-Atlanta University award ceremony, where the Foundation’s grant of $7,500 went to the winning group, supporting student entrepreneurs as they turn ideas into impact.

Sheth Lecture on Indian Studies

$100,000

Established in 2000, the annual Sheth Lecture in Indian Studies raises awareness of the culture and history of India and South Asia and serves the Indian community in Atlanta and the Southeast. Past speakers include author Salman Rushdie, film director Deepa Mehta, and human-rights activist Medha Patkar.

Sheth Distinguished Lecture on Creativity in Later Life

$50,000

Each year since 2004, a speaker of outstanding quality presents during a lunch hosted by the Emeritus College’s Teaching and Lecturing Committee. Past speakers include President Jimmy Carter, Robert Spano, James T. Laney and Mike Luckovich.

Sheth Fellowship for Doctoral Students

$250,000

For doctoral students at Emory’s Goizueta Business School. Each recipient receives an additional $1,000 in dissertation support upon passing their comprehensive exam. Total disbursement since inception has exceeded $100,000.

Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award

$100,000

Recognizes Emory’s international alumni who are highly distinguished in their business, profession or life’s work and have made outstanding contributions to humanity, science, art or human welfare.

Sheth Lecture on Entrepreneurship

$100,000

An annual lecture at Goizueta Business School, open to the entire Emory community, highlighting individuals who have been agents of change and positive impact on their community or country.

Sheth Award for Exceptional Achievement by International Alumni

$50,000

Recognizes a Georgia State international alum with an exemplary, longstanding professional reputation worldwide, presented each year at the annual International Honorary Reception during International Education Week.

Sheth Award for International Achievement by Distinguished Faculty

$50,000

Recognizes a Georgia State faculty member with a longstanding record of achievement in teaching, research or public service in the international arena, with $1,000 toward academic research or travel.

Sheth Lecture on Social Entrepreneurship

$50,000

Established in 2018, an annual keynote from a distinguished social innovator and entrepreneur, providing a forum for sharing ideas and practices of social innovation. The first speaker was Nate Morris, founder and CEO of Rubicon Global.

Georgia Tech University

Sheth Carbon Challenge Prize

$70,000

At $14,000 per year, the prize supports Georgia Tech’s Carbon Reduction Challenge, a program that helps students design and implement large-scale projects to save energy. Three winners receive a cash prize to support education and innovation in sustainability.

Recognizes a University of Pittsburgh faculty member furthering international education. In 2019, Dr. Ronald A. Brand received the award for creating Pitt’s Center for International Legal Education and its Master of Laws Program for Foreign Law Graduates.

Sheth International Young Alumni Achievement Award

$50,000

Recognizes an alumnus who entered Pitt on a student visa, earned a degree within the last 10 years, and contributed to the international community. Recent recipient Silver Francis Oonyu founded the SMILE School in Uganda.

Sheth Family Business of Humanity Fund

$80,000

Supports the Business of Humanity Project at Pittsburgh, documenting the management processes and strategic perspectives of companies that practice the “Business of Humanity” and the advantages of humaneness in managerial decision making.

Sheth Foundation Winter Marketing Camp

$250,000

Funds the annual Winter Marketing Camp for doctoral students at the Katz Graduate School of Business, an annual retreat encouraging connections in the marketing community with presentations and networking alongside top scholars.

$100,000

Annually recognizes outstanding USC Marshall School of Business faculty whose work has meaningfully changed the practice of business or social enterprise. The first recipient was Professor C. W. Park for his research on brand admiration.
